Luc
E. Barrick
Luc graduated cum laude from the University of
Ottawa, Faculty of Law, in 1996. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor Degree
in History, also from the University of Ottawa. Luc was called to the Bar of Ontario
in 2001. |
Luc’s professional experiences include working
at the Institute for Information Technology, National
Research Council of Canada as a business development
officer. As well, he worked as a researcher for the
Minister of Multiculturalism and Citizenship of Canada,
as a legal researcher for Tax Litigation Branch, Department
of Justice of Canada and for the Department of Legal
Affairs, Supreme Court of Canada.
After articling with the law firm of Nelligan Power (now Nelligan
O’Brien Payne) in Ottawa, Luc founded the Luc Barrick
Law Office in 2001. This firm was joined by like-minded individuals,
such as Colonel Michel W. Drapeau, to provide clients excellent
yet affordable services. Luc then partnered with Grant Poulsen
in 2003, and the firm became Barrick Poulsen LLP.
Luc is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the County
of Carleton Law Association, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation
and the Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
Luc’s areas of practice include: Civil Litigation, Family
Law, Mediation, Arbitration, Technology Law, Licensing, Intellectual
Property, and Tax Law.
